"The Blood of a Poet" Workshop Italy, Venice March 18-22, 2027
Venice is drifting into sleep. Its labyrinths and cracks are awakening.
Oh, the sorrow and beauty of the great city. You are sinking... We shall seek ourselves.
Maiden — you are the poet's blood. You will lead us through the narrow lanes and guide us to the water. The cleansing water...
First workshop in Europe, a rare opportunity to immerse yourself in a transformative art process with Katia Berestova.
Katia Berestova (Russia) is a photographer, painter, graphic artist, director, poet, curator. She has been involved in teaching since 2019 running her owl school, privately and in IPLF Institute of Photography. Berestova’s books are published worldwide (KOLOKOL, Editions Bessard, Paris, 2021; SON N3, Print Gallery, St. Petersburg, 2023; OUT OF TIME, Skeleton Key Press, Oslo, 2024). In 2022, Berestova was nominated for the prestigious Foam Paul Huf Award. Her art is in private collections throughout Russia and Europe. She actively contributes in the development of photography in her country as a member of the Union of Photo Artists of Russia and guest participant in photography festivals. The member of jury for international contests.
By teaching artists through her own analytical method, she helps discover one’s unique path and purpose. She perceives the essence and the core of ideas, examining the foundational pillars of the creator's personality. It is about meaning rather than calculated intent — an image, a thought, a story. The workshop will feature intensive practical work on creating a body of art, a story — an experience that strikes a deep chord, revealing the specific and the personal from within the general.
“Art is the language of life.
It’s beyond language.
It’s beneath the meaning.
It’s the seed.”
— Katia Berestova
